On the weekend I met with a couple who have a cruise booked in August for their wedding reception. We had a viewing through the boat and finalised their menu and theming. 

The couple are having a beautiful beach ceremony at Main Beach. Their ceremony is being held mid afternoon, in the warm afternoon Gold Coast sun!

They are having a romantic three course seated meal for eighty guests. Their colours are red, white and black. They are having white table cloths with red chair sashes and black table runners. They are having simple and romantic table theming, scattered rose petals, LED tea light candles and a rose centrepiece in a rectangular vase.

They are going with the upper deck theming package including four small white coffee tables, black ottomans, black and white scattered cushions and red helium balloons to set the party mood for the after dinner dancing. 

They are having a delicious Thai style beef salad and marinated prawns in a pastry twist for their entrees, they are having fresh grilled barramundi and mouth watering prosciutto wrapped chicken breast as their main meals. 

The newlyweds will then cut their cake and have it plated up by our chef and served for dessert with cream and berry coulis while the speeches are taking place. 

The couple will then go up stairs with their guests and dance the night away to their favourite music being played by a DJ on board. We look forward to holding this couples wedding reception, and hope the Gold Coast brings out our beautiful weather for them, if not, they will be using the boat as a wet weather wedding option, having their ceremony held on the upper deck.

Imagine Cruises had a wonderful time over the weekend at Courtney’s Hollywood themed 21st Birthday party. She celebrated the beautiful night with her family and friends aboard MV Imagine. It was a 5 hour cocktail cruise starting in the afternoon, taking in the gorgeous sunset and partying into the night. 

The guests were all elegantly dressed in white, the boat was dressed in white with twinkling fairy lights. Red was the feature colour, the birthday girl was wearing a ravishing red dress, the tables were dressed with red balloon centrepieces.

The elegant white and red cake topped off the evening, as the focal point of the delicious lolly buffet provided by Imagine Cruises. Keeping with the sweet theme, the drink of choice for the night was BLue Alize and Lemonade chosen by the birthday girl and stocked especially for her function. 

It was a beautiful and memorable night, hosted by Courtney and the Imagine Cruises staff, shared with Courtney’s family and friends.

Once your speeches are over, guests are invited to the upper deck to watch the bride and groom have their bridal waltz.

Dance the night away with a DJ or live musician playing all your favourite tunes with spectacular lighting.
